How does the custom process work?
Every PARLA journey begins with a personalized consultation, virtual or in person, so we understand how you live, work, and dress. From there, there are two paths.
Start from our archive. Choose one of our existing designs, and we craft it to your proportions, taking into account the natural asymmetry of the body. You then select your fabric and finishing details. Imagine hand-selecting the very buttons on your own blazer. Once that button is out of stock, it's gone for good.
Bring your own vision. Some clients come to us with an idea already in mind. We bring that vision to life, from first sketch to final stitch.
What can I have made besides a suit?
We are known for custom suits for women, including our signature three-piece suit, but we prefer to say suits and separates. Trousers, blazers, button-down shirts, and winter coats are just a few of the pieces we make, all with the same ethos: made to your exact measurements, in the fabrics and finishes of your choosing.
Is every PARLA piece made in Italy?
Yes. Every PARLA piece is entirely Made in Italy, from the fabric to the construction. We work with three fabric suppliers, ranging from luxury to ultra-luxury, including Loro Piana.
PARLA is designed by women, made by women, for women. Each piece is crafted by our High Tailor, a woman with more than 40 years of experience, in her atelier in Milan and her laboratorio in Italy's Marche region.
How much does a custom suit for women cost?
Because every commission is highly personalized, and fabric selections and finishing details vary in price, the cost changes from garment to garment. As a guide, expect PARLA pieces to sit in line with luxury designer clothing bought off the rack.
A designer blazer with a logo, often cut from blended fibers, costs about the same as a blazer made to your exact measurements in natural fabrics and finishing details you select yourself. We leave it to you to decide which is the better buy for your needs.
